Reston Multicultural Festival September 20th, 2025:

Our booth welcomed visitors who wanted to learn about community building, service projects, and our support for "unity in diversity". The booth was on Market Street at the Reston Town Center near the park. It was one of the most popular booths at the Festival.

• We had a great interactive contribution to the festival that included:
  • Live music from Ecuador
  • Coloring for the children
  • A chance to learn about our Free English Classes
  • Information about our community building activities and educational programs for children, pre-youth, youth, and adults.
  • A "post a sticky note" survey to answer the question: "How does a muticultural society enrich Reston (or your community)? Public Comments:

All are welcome to area events, service projects, and regular activities in a choice of languages:

  • Every Friday 7:00-8:30 pm in person - Weekly
    • Discussion to explore how we might contribute to a better world. We discuss and learn from each other.
      • Sept 26- The Power of Cooperation and Reciprocity
    • Activity Representative available: This is a great place to begin your journey of learning of the many activity and event options for your entire family. We can assist you to find a gathering in your language, near your home, the type of program such as a devotional, a service project, and an educational program for the children, junior youth, youth, and adults. (English, Farsi, Spanish spoken)
      • This event is at the Reston Community Center at Hunter's Woods 2310 Colts Neck Road, Reston, Va.
        (Light refreshments and snacks served).  
• Weekly Service Project:
  • Every Friday 5:30-6:30 in person- Free English Classes: A safe place to learn English or assist others to learn and practice English. English speaking volunteers are welcome.  So are new learners!
    (Light refreshments are shared 6:30-7:00).
